Mediawikis are currently under threat from mallicious bots which spider the internet looking for vulnerable wikis to create accounts on and then replace or append to the main page large amounts of links in order to boost their pagerank on Google and similar search engines.

Any wiki member can manually fix vandalism as soon as it happens. To make this recovery process easier, this wiki allows you to overwrite the current (presumably vandalized) version of a page with an older version. Start by selescting "Page history" at the bottom of a page, then click on the date of the revision you want to recover. This will take you to a copy of that page, again click at the bottom of the page this time "Edit this page". Then simply add a summary, such as "Removed Spam," and click the "Save page" button. When you save your changes, it does not overwrite the old revision. It creates a new version of the page with the old text.

Email authentication is now enabled, so you can't edit until your email address has been verified.
