I am definatly in agreement with NoMercy. Could there be an institution of needing to properly register or be approved, ala forums? There are honestly not that many people who actually sign up to do editing and then do some here, as far as the histories show.

I agree that it is not a good change for the long term, especially when a new bot comes about which creates its own topics. For now it is a solution that works while a permanent one is found. *shrug* Would a simple email verification script work?
Why not? Bots are much more unlikely to be able to follow e-mail commands, and links inside them, unless they were highly complexe.
Meh, whatever, its just a suggestion.
